Broughgammon street food at Ballymaloe Litfest 2014!

Was a great weekend with some fantastic speakers and writers, much inspiration taken. Next year will be a blast!

Balmoral Show

So the busy week started with the Balmoral Agricultural Show in Northern Ireland, where the Greatest Team Of All Time (GOAT) were working their magic in the Good Food NI Pavillion. Cooking up some of the greatest Billy Burgers known to man, making a special red onion and coriander salsa UTV could not help but place Broughgammon in the Highlights! See the second section. Balmoral Show 2014 with Broughgammon Farm. These burgers were accompanied by a Balmoral Show special, being a 14 day Gyroz marinated Cabrito, Kid-Goat, Loin. This was served in flat bread with some homemade pickled cabbage, so good! The biggest News of this show however was the official launch of the Free Range Rose Veal, where the Veal Escalope Ciabatta Sandwiches with homemade Sloe-Gin and Apple Jelly went down a treat!

Open Farm Weekend

If all this wasn’t enough on its own Broughgammon Farm was invited onto both CoolFM and Downtown radio to talk about the up and coming Bank of Ireland Open Farm Weekend in June, specific dates of June the 14th and 15th. Busy Bees!

Ballymaloe Litfest 2014

To close the week all off the Broughgammon Boys took a breather to travel down to Co. Cork to attend and cook at the Kerrygold Ballymaloe LitFest #LitFestIE, where the Allen family warmly welcomed the boys. Needless to say the goat burgers went down a storm, the Free Range Rose Veal was a MASSIVE success and the seaweed was just as popular with talks by Sally Mckenna going on! All that can be said is that Broughgammon looks Forward to next year!
